    Kovalev is the real deal

Like many other hopkins fans I thought kova would be outboxed but kovalev really showed that he's not just a puncher like people say he is. His timing was on point and he dominated every round against bernard. He showed good feinting and can cut off the ring pretty well. He showed that he can box for 12 rounds although he was starting to get very tired in the last couple of rounds even though bernard didn't throw that much.

Ang other hopkins fans now a fan of kovalev like me? I knew he was good but now it's clear he is the real deal. I hope he faces Adonis soon and we can have an undisputed light heavy champion. And beterbiev coming from round the corner is also exciting too.

you gotta like what he did in there but a huge part of him is his raw power, if he didn't hit that hard hop would of been more willing the throw shots. he took plenty of risk in there last night and paid for it each time. its not like kov hit him a whole lot and beat the **** outta him, but he hits so hard that what did land really hurt him. hop had to move around and just survive, kov knows what hes doing but lets see him vs somehow who can match his power and chin and that's where we'll see how well he can hold up and if he can resort to skills to edge a win

Yeah but you have to understand Kovalev fights that way because he has power. He would be a completely different boxer with a different style if he didn't possess KO power. Same as GGG, they have skills but they base them around their greatest strength.

And look at how he didn't jump on and pummel him until right at the end, he showed patience and set numerous traps for B-Hop himself! I bet nobody was expecting that. Now thats boxing skill, he most certainly didn't rely solely on his power and no way that even someone with a chin would just walk him down.

The thing I loved most was his way that he kept in mid-range constantly and took B-Hops inside game away from him. I was certain B-hop would smother and spoil constantly but he couldn't get it going.

He should fight Artur Beterbiev, who beat Kovalev twice in the ams.
