As explained earlier, Rios is a better fight because Alexander is coming off a loss to Khan who's ducking Brook and another loss to Porter who Brook already beat. He was beaten decisively in both match-ups. What's the point in Brook finishing the hattrick?
You are right that Rios is a better opponent selection for Kell Brook RIGHT NOW than Alexander but that's all you are right on.

You've taken to arguing that Brandon Rios isn't any technically different from Alexander now.

Think about that for a second.

For one he doesn't walk in straight lines and his defense isn't blocking punches with his face. Alexander is Pernell Whitaker slick given how awful Rios is.

Your logic is all over the place. Who is arguing about Brook selecting Alexander over Rios? Over all Alexander is a better boxer with a better resume than Rios. That is the bottom line.

I'm not dis*****g that Rios isn't a better opponent, but he's definitely not better than Alexander or even Algieri. He is useless on the outside, has average power and can be neutralised on the inside by holding. This isn't anything to do with Khan/Brook/Gavin etc. but just my honest assessment of Rios as a fighter. I would be disappointment as him an opponent for the same reason as I am Khan-Algieri which is because imo it not being very competitive.
Yeah he's defensively better. Is he offensively better? He knows how to move huh? Really? Rios moves quicker than Alexander. His feet are like planted in cement.

People see a black southpaw and automatically think he's slick or something. Alexander couldn't throw a straight punch to save his life.

You realize you just said Rios is useless on the outside and has average power in comparison to Devon Alexander right?

Rios is definitely better than Algieri, dfq are you on about? Haha. Much more proven on several levels.

But that's what I'm saying? So what are you talking about?

But Alexander isn't technically good You are massively overrating him. And I've asked this several times - what does he actually do technically good? Does he have any good punches? No. Headmovement? No. Good footwork? Not really.

          He's average in every department.

Walks in straigth lines jesus you are reaching now. Alexander doesn't "walk" at all. He's so flatfooted.

Alexander might be slicker than Rios - but he's not slick at all. And what the *** does that have to do with anything anyway? Rios is a proper fighter, massive jab, good power who takes some to give some.

I didn't understand your last line, but nobody would want to see Brook vs Alexander. Even the Khan bum sniffer - and we all know this is only because Khan beat Alexander - you are, surely you must realize that there's no way anyone would want that fight.

But you're also trying to compare Rios favourably to Alexander in terms of skill and ability.

            It's quite disturbing.

Not really. I have no qualms in saying Alexander is better technically than Rios at all. Rios is quite a flawed fighter.

My question is, so what? It's not like Alexander is anything special technically so why bring it up? As in, who gives a ***? Rios would undoubtedly give Brook a harder fight than Alexander.

The point is that Devon Alexander is a better fighter than Brandon Rios.

                • Not only is Alexander more skilled than Rios, he has a much better resume and has accomplished more in his boxing career. I would also back him to beat Rios by UD.

I'm not sure he would beat Rios.

But better at what? - I ask for the 5th time.

There is no evidence to suggest that Rios would win. Alexander shut out Maidana who is far better than Rios. He toughed it out against Matthysse - I thought he lost but he fought very hard in that fight. What the hell could Rios do with him?

Like I said, Rios lost pretty much every single round to Richar Abril. He got outboxed by Mike Alvarado.

Devon Alexander would toy with him.
