VERY easy??? It took one of the best defensive technicians ever to take him into deep waters and got beat up doing so. I don't see a lot of guys taking kovalev into the deep waters.

kovalev is the real #1 at LHW. forget that ducking punk adonis stevenson. ring magazine should strip adonis of the ring belt and give it to kovalev.

lets not forget these guys are real real veterans of the sport, especially ward and pascal and can make kova miss and make him pay, thats the sport of boxing... and we both know kova is skilled but he is not a fast fighter and who knows what will happen when he fights a guy who reflexes are not compromised by age like b-hop...
If Pascal is ever to fight Kovalev (that is real big IF) there's very high possibility that you would be surprised I would not put Pascal into same place with Ward and Dirrel. to me Pascal is a 4 round fighter - athletic (not for long thought) and with little/no fundamentals. Just compare his fights with BH and last nights fight.

I don't think that Ward would man up to move up (or move down) to fight the stars from other divisions. I don't even think his ready to fight any other place than his hometown.

Dirrel... Yes there are skills. Nothing really special thought (he was still cought and droped by low skill fighters like Abraham for example).

Both Ward and Dirrel can't punch but both are great at clinching

John David Jackson put together a great gameplan for Kovalev to beat Hopkins
