People who prefer aggressive fighters seem to have a belief that anyone can go out there, be defensive, move, and be economical with their punches. And that aggressive fighters are aggressive by choice. I guarantee you that if the "boring" style of fighting was a 100% full proof way of winning, there's not an aggressive fighter in history that wouldn't go that route.
They don't, because they can't and be successful at a high level. So they do what their skill set allows them to do.

I wonder where are Mathed, Jas and Kev That's something very similar about their predictions before/after each and every Kovalev and Golovkin fights. Before the fight they explain how GGG and SK would loose - not so much because of their opponents abilities but because GGG and SK are eastern euro hype jobs. They're usually a bit less visible after the fight.

Calzaghe didn't school Hopkins in the first place. I respect Joe but I don't see him schooling fighters of Kovalev's caliber. Remembering how he was droped by Hopkins there's good chance that Joe would not do that well against Crasher.

Yes, and thats to show how good Hopkins iactually is. He had two belts coming into this fight and LOTs of people had him schooling Kovalev.

John David Jackson was definitely a big factor in this fight. I think he prepared Kovalev very well for Hopkins style and game plans.

Also, Kovalev's size and range was too difficult for Hopkins to overcome. He said himself he felt like a middleweight in with a light heavy or cruiserweight. When I saw Kovalev doing those pilates exercises, something told me this was unusual but advantageous for his body type and natural strengths.
