Specially in the 12th when he stuck out his tongue and then gets hit. Beautiful!!
Bhop was hurt and trying to fool kovalev into thinking he wasn't. That's what that was. It wasn't the great, he got him back, kind of thing you thought it was.

This is the same Hopkins who ran and barely engaged Calzaghe only difference was he was much older and engaged even less against Kov..
He gets credit because he didn't have to fight this guy and he did, he got knocked down in the 1st, survived and continued to fight and take punishment until the end. Clearly he tried his best to fight back and even landed counter power punches from time to time but he did not run. Kovalev was applying pressure all night, he was ducking, bobbing, and rolling punches all night. Something that is not easy to do in itself, or at 50.

        • I came into tonight expecting to see B-Hop win, man was I wrong. Nothing but credit to Kov, king of 175.

          • Hopkins couldn't resist but to do some showboating in the last round when he already lost the fight.

              • Nobody beats Kovalev at 175. Where's Ward?

                • Still can't believe Hopkins actually got in there with Kovalev. To me this performance by Kovalev is far more impressive than a KO2, we know he has the power and today he showed if his opponent can take his shots he can just out point them with well timed shots while not getting hit often.

Kovalev showed too much respect. Had he went all out earlier he would have taken Hopkins out of there. Hopkins was very cautious and scared which is why he threw so little. Kovalev didn't exploit this because out of respect.
Dont be dumb, he was holding back because he couldn't hit anything. If he went all out he would have punched himself out hitting nothing but air and played right into Bernards game plan... Even listen to Bernard at the end, he said that is what he was trying to get Kovalev to do.

                      Good post.
Kovalev clearly was the better man as Hopkins said, good luck going forward B-Hop.
Funny to see the guys who were picking Hopkins doing the usual discrediting the win.
                      Keep at it ladies.
