I am wondering how it is that it was ok for Barrera to refuse Pac for TWO YEARS citing reasons that he cited, including, but not limited to, "I don't take on Morales' left-overs", while it is not fishy for Barrera to issue a challenge to which Pac should respond in ONE WEEK. And, why is it not fishy that after Pac won over Erik, MAB's call prior to Morales-Pac II was suddenlly muted, as Barrera prepared for the eventually aborted Chavez meeting, instead of repeating the dare earlier issued.

What's behind this habit of Barrera calling out Pac when Pac is about to meet someone else and refusing to meet Pac when Pac was available?

The question begs for an answer that goes beyond labels for nationalities and fans.

I also wonder what the IF word is doing in the sentence "If Manny beat Barrera...what's his problem?" The first meeting, to me, leaves no allowance for doubt as to who won. The fact that the Barrera corner threw in the towel is PROOF (and not merely EVIDENCE) that even Barrera's camp was totally convinced that they lost. No "if's."

      "Befor these fighters loose" WTF.

Morales just got the **** kicked out of him.

Juan just got the crap kicked out of him.

Barrera has been fighting sparring partners and trying to "throw a wrench in the fan" since he got smacked around.

Hell if ya really wanna have a competitive system in boxing...

NONE OF THESE GUYS REALLY DESERVE TO MAKE MONEY OFF PAC.

what have they done to deserve a rematch after coming off devastating losses to PACGOD?

If any of you want boxing the sport to be respected and redeem it's cracked-out image.

Then I say Morales, MAB, and JMM need to work their way up again by fighting others before they step up to their master!

Bring on BOBBY PAC vs. MAB!!!

There's nuff time for Pac to take on both MAB and Erik, one after the other. Those should comprise a pretty good looking schedule.
Sompe Pac fans believe that Pac needs a tuneup after that hard-earned win against El Terrible. I think Pac's camp is now looking to sign up Jauregui as a substitute to Larios. ABS-CBN has already given Pac and his team to promote the fight in Manila and will use this event to try to go after the lucrative PPV business with around 200,000 TFC (Filipino Channel) subscribers worldwide. I think its a wishful thinking for the Filipino cable giant since I don't see even 1/3 of those numbers to buy this PPV event. Well, I could be wrong but that's my opinion. And then, there's San Miguel who has already offered their support. I think Manny feels somehow indebted to ABS-CBN having given him chance to showcase his "showbiz" skills in Kamao, a boxing reality show and as guests in many of their shows which help Manny's career in some ways IMO.

If you are aware of Filipinos "utang na loob" culture, you probably know what I mean. However, I still believe its Manny's call. Like what you and others have said, this is the opportune time and Manny should be smart enough to seize this one!

Yeah that is what MAB, EM, and JMM call PAC when they mention him in interviews.

Yeah, pal, I'm aware of that wonderful trait--paying back whatever kindness one got. And, like you, I believe that's something no Filipino should lose and every other nationality should learn from. T'will make the world so much better.

But then, there's something the Romans have that we must also learn from: Carpe diem! Sieze the day! I'm with you that Manny's people should take on the MAB challenge and get to work fast. Those TV and beer/food conglomerate deals can be back-burnered with no loss for Manny.

As for the need for tune-ups, and having Jaureigi as foe, I think Jaureigi should not be seen as a mere tune-up. The fella holds a belt. So, instead of Jaureigi, I humbly suggest that Pac go straight for MAB, who holds a couple of belts, and who, by the way, he is familiar (and oh, so very familiar) with.

Isn't it funny how these 3 fighters, the 3 trio, Manny-Morales-Barrera, can cause and stir up such a commotion when even though they each keep fighting each other, it's just 3! Never has 3 fighters been so intertwined or linked with each other that no matter who faces who, it's always a great fight! I don't care what Manny does really, I just hope it's smart and well thought out before they execute.
