Haymon might try to gain leverage by added Chavez to a Mayweather bill on those mexican dates although I could see Canelo agreeing to Cottos terms and the fight being on a different date.

I'll never understand the logic behind why some fans defend this poisonous snake called Haymon. Fighters like Haymon because he gets them paid good money to fight mediocre competition. Who the **** is Thurman fighting? A 40 yr old from italy? This guy is due for a big fight with all his talent and here he is fighting a nobody. Why the **** do we as fans care about how much a fighter gets paid, we wanna see good fights.

Lara is signed to Haymon. Canelo is NOT. The Haymon camp totally wanted and believed Lara would win that fight. And Oscar didn't really want Canelo vs. Lara, he was against it and admitted it on record.

Chavez had his own manager. Promoters negotiate with managers. Managers explain contract details to fighters. Manager must have been pretty incompetent if he couldn't explain the details to Chavez.
