I also agree with you in regards to Canelo's trainers. I think he's let sentiment carry his trainers up the ranks with him when he probably could have coldly cut them for more prosperous trainers by now. I also think this is part of Adrian Broners problem , other than the fact he's a total a**hole.

I say all of this but the reality of the matter is that I'm a Cotto fan. Always have been. It is unrealistic to believe I'm not allowing sentiment to cloud my judgement. How bad would it suck if it was a draw?
A draw implies that Cotto did indeed have his one last great performance in him, beating a guy bigger, stronger, faster and younger than him who happens to be in his physical prime. A draw means we had a great fight and that we'd certainly get a second fight.

Except in the second fight...Canelo takes it. I think Cotto is giving everything he has for this fight. Too many wars, too many years at a high level. As a fan of both, a draw would be a happy ending for me. A win for either is sorta bittersweet from my end. The sentimental choice for me is Cotto, the logical choice is Canelo - a Cotto wins means another stamp on a career full of great moments. A Canelo win means that the future is here. Tbh, if Canelo loses straight up - then I fear his ceiling is reached - I mean, that would mean he would have lost to the two best fighters he faced; which isn't necessarily a bad thing - except in this case, they were both way way past prime and smaller than him; which doens't bode well swimming in the 160 tank

Ala Tommy Hearns. Although I don't know if I'd say Leonard was past his prime when they fought. That was a bit before my time.
