It's a very difficult fight to negotiate. And it's not just Cotto that's a diva, but Canelo too.

Cotto taking 80% versus Golovkin is reasonable though, and I'd bet Golovkin would take it.

Karceno actually talks with Arum from time to time, If he did not get this info from Arum, then I won't believe it. Yes Karceno is Biased like none other, he use to go out of his way to bash the living hell out of Rigondeaux, but Karceno does have connections in the realm of professional boxing, he has talked with his idol Mayweather, and he talks with Arum who is Working with Cotto. I don't think Karceno would report something like this if it wasn't true. His agenda is really to glorify Mayweather.

Believe it or not, the video is from a relevant source. Karceno has done bunches of interviews with Bob Arum and has his direct phone numbers, office and cell. Plus other people within Top Rank. And a few people within Canelo's circle.

So I would say listen to the information, but don't necessarily believe it blindly. Consider it though... And then also keep in mind, sometimes things change too.

Which is why I hoped GGG vs Cotto would happen first. I want GGG to be built up for a PPV mega showdown with my boy Andre Ward. I like GGG. I like Ward more because he is from my hometown. For someone from Oakland to be in the Main Event of a PPV is IMO an accomplishment for an athlete especially from our city. GGG needs Cotto, Canelo, and Chavez. He beats all 3 of them, it sets up a mega showdown between GGG and Ward. Ward would win with Relative ease. I believe he is the only one that can beat GGG. I'm not thinking about the now, I am thinking ahead to the future. GGG is one of my favorites. But if he ever loses, that loss will come at the hands of S.O.G.

If Canelo vs Golovkin happens, I wonder what the purses would be. And the winner of a Canelo vs Golovkin fight would most definitely become the A Side if they were to fight Cotto afterwards. GGG would paint canelo's face the color of his hair.

Cotto and Clottey should rematch. I wouldn't be surprised if Cotto chooses to fight Anthony Mundane. Surprisingly I would root for Cotto vs mundane because mundane is acting like Khan by thinking he deserves a shot at Mayweather. Clottey already put mundane in his place. Someone needs to shut mundane up.

Good luck on it being at the MGM Grand. MGM Grand is not giving that date to anyone besides Mayweather. Oscar knows this, Arum knows this. But the ignorant and foolish don't know this.

I agree that it won't happen in Texas, but there's a great chance it won't happen in Vegas either. Maybe if Canelo accepts a 25% split or something, maaaybe. There is a reason why suddenly Oscar and Arum have hinted at the fight being held somewhere outside of Vegas.

Mayweather won't be fighting on May 2nd if Cotto-Canelo becomes official. If that's signed, it's knowing that Mayweather-Pacquiao isn't happening and Mayweather knows it hurts his buys to compete with Cotto-Alvarez.
