This just in from Fat Dan...
Official purses for #CottoCanelo per NSAC: Cotto $15M, Canelo $5M. Both can make more on upside, Canelo likely getting more via Mexico TV.

GB & RNS brawling over split right now. Related to Cotto not having WBC title. Contracts not yet signed either. A mess. #CottoCanelo #boxing

By the way, it's commonplace for paper between promoters and HBO to not signed until day before fight. #CottoCanelo #boxing

I'm told #CottoCanelo contains mutual rematch language. Good chance there's a rematch either way, although some gray areas exist in lingo.

Bottom line is that there is virtually zero chance - no matter who wins - that GGG gets the winner. No shot. #CottoCanelo #boxing

win or lose, both of them will hide at catchweight, rematch each other while ignoring the real champion then probably retire prematurely since the competition is slim at 155
i would never pay for this and encourage any true boxing fan to just stream it

Just a question that I wanted to get other posters' opinions on. It sounds to me like Cotto might go into this fight with a similar approach to his rematch with Margarito, meaning that he's going to try to box a bit more, wait for Canelo to get close, unload a combination, and then circle out and move. Do you guys think that his ability to stick and move is superior to Canelo's ability to pressure, cut off the ring, and walk down his opponents? Obviously, both guys are very good Boxer Punchers, who can change things up when need be, but ever since I heard DLH say that Cotto's been training to throw 300 punches a round, it's made me wonder if he's going to try and box Canelo.
