De acuerdo con el informe de que Cotto habría violado un acuerdo de confidencialidad sobre el acuerdo con Golovkin y el CMB y ello podría ocasionarle una demanda, un par de fuentes cercanas al evento que estelarizan Canelo Álvarez y Miguel Cotto comentaron que el efecto dominó ha comenzado. Por una parte, habrá que señalar que de acuerdo a una de estas fuentes, la división del porcentaje de ganancias en el pago por evento era de 55/45 a favor de Cotto debido a que él era el campeón del mundo. Al ser desconocido por negarse a pagar la sanción, Golden Boy Promotions exigió que la división de porcentajes sea ahora de 50/50.

First like I said I feel those 3 fights were learning experiences for Canelo & 2nd I think Cotto isn't as high level as those other guys (he lost to two of them & I suspect Lara would beat him too). If Canelo's defense + chin can deal with Cotto's craftiness + power is the margin of error I have with this fight.

No problem guy. You were just kind of all over the place with your analogy, no disrespect. Your whole post was pretty much saying what was wrong with Canelo and saying why Cotto is so good. Then you conclude well Canelo will win. But if you think what he learned in his fights with those guys is why he wins the I hear ya because he needs to have learned since this is a tough fight for him.

I hope Canelo does pull it put. It's better for boxing if he wins. Let get all the old guard out. May is gone, pac is an after thought and washed up, now Cotto is next. Boxing needs new blood. But unfortunately I think Cotto will pull his one last trump card out. He's very ring savvy, has great experience, is highly skilled, has good power and his corner is very strong. I think that all adds up to a wall Canelo can't get over. As long as Cotto can stay composed the whole fight and stay true to his game and not wilt under the young man pressure he should be good. It's won't be easy for Cotto because he can get busted up but I think he gots it. I just hope the boxing gods are not listening to me. Lol

Yes. Belt is irrelevant. Usually the bigger draw aka more popular guy is the "a" side.

If Canelo wins its certain he will be a side in his next fight.
