Am I the only one who thinks that the Tyson bite wasn't THAT crazy? Pure frustration at Holyfield's headbutting if you ask me.

Bites have happened before and after that but it was a really big deal at the time. I remember being in a barbershop with guys all still talking about the ear bite weeks after.

It was mike tyson who emboddied every stereotype about boxers so here was this convicted rapist with a speech impediment who was raised from childhood for nothing but beating people up, suddenly biting peoples ears off. The media couldn't let such an opportunity slip by.
