Oscar is just saying this because he knows that he won't be involved in Floyd's next fight and he wants Canelo/Cotto on May 5th weekend next year.
Khan should win but if Devon were to pull it off no way Floyd fights him next year unless he plans on changing the date he fights. I do think Khan would give Floyd problems but I was hoping to see Khan/Brook fight with the winner getting Floyd. At least the winner would be a champion.

Khan is one of a handful of Al Haymon-advised fighters who is still indisputably under contract to GBP

All the other Haymon guys are either (a) not under contract to GBP or (b) their contract status is in dispute but they will continue fighting while lawsuits between GBP, Schaefer, Haymon, etc, will eventually work out (after the fact) who owes what to whom in terms of monetary damages

Also Mayweather is still working with Golden Boy on a fight-by-fight basis to promote his fights.

At the end of the day, Khan brings more money to the table (by adding UK PPV into the pot) than any other potential Floyd opponent except Pacquiao, so as long as Khan is a GBP fighter and Floyd wants to maximize his revenue, Oscar isn't talking out of his a$$ ... the guy Floyd will presumably want to fight is in his stable.
