      Last three opponents before Floyd:

      Maidana - Broner, Lopez, Soto-Karass
Canelo - Trout, Lopez (utter disgrace), shot a.ss Mosley
      Guerrero - Berto, Aydan, Katsidis
Cotto - Foreman, Mayorga, half-blind Margo
Ortiz - shot Harris, Peterson (was a draw), Berto

I think we can agree that beating a lineup like Devon, Thurman and Brook hasn't been a prerequisite to fighting Floyd for quite a while. (Actually has it even been?)
I bolded the ones that were legit good wins. There were only 2

No one wants to fight keith thurman, cause of his power and speed and i still beleive that he is the most dangerous fighter in the WW division period.

floyd will only fight the fighter who will get him paid nthe most money and that would be someone who is a ppv Draw. Pac is at the top of that list i beleive.

Far as I can tell it was 8 years ago in 2006.

I think Pacquaio would have been a better example for what you said.
                    It's all smoke and mirrors.

Maidana was not in the picture before beating a guy who was fighting at 130 a little over a year earlier. That is what you should look at not that he beat a hyped up fighter who should not have moved up to WW so soon.

Ortiz won another hyped up fight. It was exciting to watch and he won. Again, if you look closer, what do you see? A guy that was knocked down twice by Berto and quit against Maidana and drew in his previous fight. Again, another guy who had no record at WW and you and others ate it all up.

Guerrero was nowhere in the picture prior to Berto. 1 fight to show for at 140 and 147 (other fight he looked very average)and he gets the nod to fight Floyd. Didn't we see this already with Ortiz? Again, he was able to hit the defenseless prone Berto and that all she wrote! We forget though that Guerrero was fighting several divisions below that not too long ago, is slow, hittable and fights flat-footed. Check, check, check and check!
Even Floyd said "Who is Guerrero? Who has he beat?"

Like I said, all smoke and mirrors. Yet Floyd fans gobble it all up ........

Khan better be careful because if he tries to do more than he needs to then he may get KOed.

That is what happened in the Garcia fight. He wanted to look impressive because he was already assured from Schaeffer that he would be next for Floyd and so look impressive.
