when you get paid almost a mil to fight your sparring partner and pad your stats, why would they complain?

Best is yet to come. We've seen Garcia-Matthyse Broner-Maidana Canelo-Floyd Herrera-Garcia Russell-Lomanchenco. Next up Andrade-Charlo Khan-Alexander Wilder-Stiverne possibly Froch-Chavez.. Dont let the hate blind you. Its funny how all the fighters I named are better than Pacquio and Bradley and Rios latest opponents.

Hmm...Peter Quillen vs Chavez Jr for career high pay days? People knocking Arum is too comical. Maybe he's a snake or a liar, like people actually know the guy personally. But, TR has been around for 50 years, built stars from the ground up like Oscar, Floyd, Pac, Cotto, and guys like JCC Jr & Mikey Garcia too. Promoted legends like Ali, Frazier, Ray Leonard, Duran, Hagler, Morales, Marquez, etc. They have survived losing Oscar & Floyd, do people really think losing Jr & Mikey will sink them? As for Haymon, the idea of having competition between managers, promoters, trainers is a good thing. He's provided a safe haven for his fighters by paying more for fights with less risks and a guarantee to return on tv even with a loss. That being said, wonder if he ever gets called out for violating the Ali act. He is essentially a promoter/manager in one and has been able to mask the double dipping, for how long though?

I'm not sure but this might be a way for Chavez to duck GGG. It's too bad he missed out on millions not fighting for a year.

No surprise to find out Haymon is involved, Bob predicted this a while ago.
Normally I would agree with you but not in this case. Chavez owes arum nothing anymore. Arum invested in Chavez true, but you can believe he's made up for his investment and then some. Chavez was always money in the bank for Arum.

So Arum is the one who guided and promoter Chavez to the fighter he is today, and Chavez leaves Arum because... why is Chavez leaving? The answer is obviously because he wants to make less money fighting nobodies. Haymon doesn't get their fighters the most money, we all know that. What he does do though, is avoid any potential loss just like Mayweather. There is no way Haymon will cover what Chavez could have made fighting GGG or Froch and maybe even Ward. Stevenson isn't going to produce that kind of a payday.

I agree, reminds me of the Stevenson situation. He walked away from a Kovalev bout to make essentially the same money fighting Fonfara. Seems like Chavez may leave a possible GGG, Ward, Froch bout for something less like Dirrell, J'Leon Love, Quillen that pays him well.
