Except with Arum there's a contract both ways.

Mikey didn't seem too confident last I saw from him. Has anyone ever beaten Arum in the courtroom?

I remember reading it was Superbowl weekend launch (or the week after). Is that in February? I don't follow NFL.

Chavez really had no business fighting GGG and Froch type fighters anyway. He'd take so much brutal damage in either fight and it wouldn't be close to competitive.

No there isnt. Take less with no contract or make more with a contract/extension. Its basic business 101.

Haymon is not dumb. He knows that Arum will sue him for tampering with his fighters...anything to make sure Floyd-Manny will never be a real possibility.

No there was. Seems the first two offers both had extensions behind it. And then the phantom third offer which would pay him below market value for a GGG fight. Basically, here's no money so you can go lose. And apparently Chavez was already forced to sign an extension just to get the Martinez fight. It's why Oscar left; it's why Mayweather left and why Cotto became a free agent. I wonder how many times Arum twisted Pacquiao's arm when his contract was due. Interesting how what Mayweather said in 2009 rings so true now.

so what about "advisory" contracts with Al Haymon that apparently have no end date?

There was a thread a few weeks ago outlining the stipulations of signing with Haymon. They were FAR worse than anything regarding signing with TR. You basically give away your soul to Haymon.
