Here is someone that gets it. That contract is not guaranteed money as it seems. Roc Nation would have to put him up against another fighter in a marketable match-up. Making boxing matches is not an easy thing, and making a profitable one isn't easy either. Thurman could easily sit on the shelf for a year, or end up just having one fight.
And I agree, Roc Nation should be pursuing upcoming prospects and building them up. That way they have a stronger foothold in the future. A lot less drama that way as well. But instead their focus is on pursuing the divas of boxing. It's kind of backwards.
