How does he know Roc Nation will give him a successful career?

        Thurman agrees with me.
"Jay Z's company is a young company. I haven't seen them make guys money yet in boxing," said Thurman

I hear ya but jay z's been extremely successful in all of his endeavours, I can't imagine him failing at this.

While Roc Nation Sports has made no secret of the fact that it is willing to do fights on HBO or Showtime -- or any other network interested -- an HBO representative told Roc Nation that it was interested in buying a Thurman fight for Dec. 20 if it signed him, according to a source with knowledge of the discussion
So there's no actual Haymon ban at HBO.

Tought situations for both Wilder and Thurman but both guys should have known what they were getting into signing a deal with Haymon.

The Haymon reluctance seems to be related to signing long term agreements with HBO. Dan Rafael said "a" fight though. As in one fight, unless there's more to it and Rafael didn't get the full details. Otherwise, don't see why Haymon wouldn't want more dates on a high profile network.
