Lol c'mon get real. He has a big machine like hbo that builds superstars. Oscar and gb is gonna be fine. Yeah it's such a ****** move to move canelo to hbo where chavez,cotto,ggg,Kirkland, a ward and Carl Froch all fight wow.

Kirkland Ward (168, won't happen) and Chavez barely fight, and Froch is pretty much retired. He's saying Chavez or bust right now so what do you mean?... Either way its beside the point, he could've kept Canelo a free agent and made the networks bid for each fight, or he could've made sure some of his actual fighters ( it seems Khan and Alexander are on their last fight there amongst others) had some guaranteed dates as well. HBO was fiending for Canelo, why not leverage it? Right now it still seems all of his eggs are in that basket and you can't refute that.

Im pretty sure odh doesn't care what channel will show his fighters. If hbo is what canelo wants, no one can really stop him from doing so.

Well it looks like he does because he is pretty cutting Showtime out for all his non-Haymon fighters. SHO seemed bitter about the move so goodluck getting his other fighters dates there.

Also my post was about how he is putting the house on Canelo. No matter where he decided to sign, or not sign an network contract, his whole empire is on Canelo.

My post pretty much suggested that he some dates dedicated to his other fighters with the Canelo deal, just in case something unforeseeable happens and Canelo can't be the whole GB brand

By the time 2015 rolls around, Canelo Alvarez will be the only boxer on the Golden Boy Promotions roster. Of course Oscar has big plans for him, just as Caribe Promotions has big plans for their only boxer, Guillermo Rigondeaux.

However, fighting on May 2 won't be part of Alvarez's big plans. If he wants to fight Cotto, he will fight on Cotto's terms. Cotto apparently wants the fight in June, so the fight will be in June if it takes place at all.
