Go look at what Floyd done to Marquez under the same weights all 3 weighing with 2-4 pound of each other and we all know what Marquez did to Manny , Floyd beat Oscar when he weighed 160 lbs , Manny beat 145 lb Oscar and was bigger lol , Manny ducked Cotto at 147 and 154 , Floyd beat a 20 lb bigger Cotto , Floyd stopped an unbeaten Hatton , not a washed up coke junkie .

Manny holds WW title and has not fought a WW in 5 fights and still pulls a CW on a JWW , while ducking every top WW out there , they are all calling him out and is looking at Jessie Vargas lol .

Manny fights guys coming of big loses , Floyd fights them coming of big wins .

As Teddy Atlas said , Mannys WW resume was made to order match making , using CWs and cherry picking washed up opponents while ducking the same opponents when they were winning .

Manny is a great fighter , but when its all put into perspective all this greatest of the era BS is a snow job by fanyboys that dont know sht about the sport .

LOL, Floyd's fight with marquez was at the same weight under different circumstances. Marquez had to move up 2 weight classes to fight Floyd at a catch weight except Floyd didn't honor it.


I don't know what to tell you. You are entitled to your opinion but there are a lot of people who feel that PAC is the greatest of his era.

I lean toward Pac, but it's not undeniable. I don't have an issue with someone thinking Floyd or Hopkins is the best of our era. Also, I've seen/heard plenty of bad comments about Pac, whether they're warranted or not.

Absolutely. What can you hold against him really, a complete robbery of a decision that he later avenged anyway? An ATG KO loss against another ATG that he has beaten several times, in an ATG fight in an ATG rivalry? Nope. He has been the most enjoyable fighter to watch for the past 10 years and has accomplished the most imo.

I avoid writing in most Manny/Floyd threads and rarely make one of my own but I just had to post here.

Manny Pacquiao saved boxing for me, after the end of the 90s, with the loss of Tyson, Holyfield, Jones, Eubank, Benn, Naz, personally, the sport felt like it was dying. I was losing interest in Oscar although he had 2 absolute barn burners against Mosley and Hopkins pulled off the unimaginable against Tito but it just didn't seem the same.

Mayweather was plying his trade and was good to watch but never electrifying, I was and still am a huge fan of Barrera and Morales but as they rounded off their rivalry, there just wasn't much left for them to do. Then along comes Pacquiao, this fast, aggressive guy who just wouldn't tsop throwing punches. Without a doubt the greatest offensive fighter since Tyson but in all honesty, one who was or would become a more well rounded performer.

Pacquiao probably has the most underrated defence of any modern fighter, his punch selection and accuracy is ATG material and the fact that he faced all those that mattered when those fights mattered is a testament to his greatness.

People can hold JMM against him, maybe even Bradley or Morales but he doesn't matter, he dominated almost everyone he faced, was/is a feared puncher and has won more world titles than just about anybody, there is no one (maybe Hopkins) who I respect more in this sport.
