Comments Thread For: Shawn Porter Will Aim To Stay More Active in 2015

As BoxingScene.com previously reported, former IBF welterweight titlist, Shawn "Showtime" Porter (24-1-1, 15KOs) is expected to return in early 2015. The details of that return should be worked out, at least the date, by the end of the week.

Father/trainer Kenny Porter told BoxingScene.com on Monday morning:

"In relation to Shawn's immediate future, we will be fighting in January. An exact day, I haven't received, yet. I'm supposed to get that exact date this Friday. I have a meeting in-person with the people who are involved with the dates and the T.V. dates. When that might be at this particular time, I don't know. There's a number of guys out there on the list but they're asking me to hold off until they can secure something, maybe a contract with these guys before announcing it."

He smothers himself and he's not this great inside fighter that people make him out to be, he just uses his strength to push guys back and punch with his free hand.

How about you aim to not smother your punches. You fooled some people but not me.

He wont be more active. Al haymon has too many fighters and not enough dates. Al haymon fighters fight twice a year. Kenny porter once again shown to be delusional.

Porter vs someone like Berto would be decent for his January fight.

The welterweight division is loaded with a lot of talent, a upset win over Porter would suddenly put Berto, who is seemingly out of title contention right back in the mix.

He should fight Paulie Malinaggi every month, he would go 12-0 for the year~

Love To See Porter Fight Marquez, Garcia Or Bradley

Porter is fun to watch. Khan avoided him, Marquez avoided him. He'll come to fight and if you don't like that type of opponent, you'll avoid him.

Porter is a bully, you let him push you around or can't stop him from pushing you around we will kick the **** out of you. If you can stand up to him you are likely to beat him.
