How the hell does he know what Rubio felt like after getting hit in the head by Golovkin?
If he was only pretending to be hurt then why would he say afterwards that the punch wasn't hard and he hadn't been stunned by it?
The only way that would sense is if Rubio didn't really know what had happened
to him because he'd just been KTFO.

So, anyone who's not in ring cannot question anything that happens? It was evident that he stayed down and took the easy way out. It happens in boxing, and when it does, promoters frequently drop the fighter.

I remember when Lou DiBella dropped Tor Hammer for his quit job on Twitter last year. It was perfectly appropriate

His annoying ass smile makes it worse.

I was looking forward to hearing Garcia's take on the fight but I haven't seen a SINGLE interview of him talking about the fight. Not even a Seckbach video... I am positive he was disgusted as **** and out of respect for Rubio (since he is a very nice guy) decided to keep quiet.
Rubio took a dive or didn't want to feel that power again... at least the fight was free though... when that kind of stuff happens on a PPV it really gets me going... The gif. in your signature is brilliant... the way he looks at Rubio after knocking him down, walking away casually chest out like a boss, like ice...

So the promoter can end the contract after one bad night, but the fighter can't get the promoter out of his life except to sit on the shelf, or sign extentions. The statements and actions of this promoter are slanderous and meant as character assasination. This is an attempt to seperate themselves from a self inflicted shame (Rubio was a sure victim) and shift the blame on to the sacraficial lamb. They are cutting into Rubio's next paydays and his ability to earn for his family. These promoters are the shame, Rubio took his lumps.

How about the ferocious uppercut right before the knock on the head. Rubio got hit more than once. The punishment adds up, in 3G's case it can add up quick.

I remember that too, and I didn't think it was cool. Hamer did quit but he landed some big shots pretty much exposing Ruiz's limitations as a fighter before taking some big punches himself and realising it was beyond him to win.

I feel like Di Bella has never taken even one of those punches in his life to be talking down to a fighter publicly on twitter about quitting to make himself look big.

Rubio didn't even train. There were rumors leading up to the fight that he had a half-ass camp. Then he failed to make weight and refused to even try a second time. Then he said he seriously wasnt hurt by Golovkin. Then he said the referee gave him a fast count. Then he said he beat the count and the referee just stopped it. Then he said guys like Pavlik and others were harder punchers, that Golovkin's power was nothing special.

It's not like Rubio said he was seriously hurt and couldnt beat the count. He basically agreed with his promoter, that GGG's shots were not hard enough to scramble his brain. Rubio said he felt fine as the referee counted. Rubio blamed his entire loss on the referee, where as the promoter blames the loss on Rubio.

We don't know what the ref was thinking. When Rubio got dropped it didn't look that bad, then a second after he plops out full spread on his back as if he didn't know what to do then starts move at 8.5 seconds.
