What should P4P lists be based on?

P4P are purely subjective. They are a mythical ranking that is constantly discussed but what do you personally think they should be based on?

Achievement? What the fighter has done?
Then guys like Hopkins should be high on the list.

Guys that you believe to be in their fighting prime? But may not have elite wins.
Guys like Povetkin and Golovkin should make people's list then because the general consensus is those guys are the future.

A mixture of both? Something else?

refusing to fight the best, fantasy wins, triangle wins, cherry picking, and rigging the fight(ref, pillow gloves) in your favor are a good way to get to the top. the more you do of this the higher you will be.

        1. BOXING SKILLS.

In baseball they talk about 5 tool players as being the most complete, these are the guys who have speed/can hit for power/can hit for average/can throw the ball well/can field the ball well.

In boxing too there are boxers who are more complete than others. The more skills they have the higher they should be on the PFP list.

        2. QUALITY OF OPPOSITION.

It's one thing to be dominant against bums and quite another to win against the toughest opponents. The latter deserves more respect than the former.

A pound for pound is done wrong it's not about Pacquiao or Mayweather winning multiple titles, What it suppose to means is at this present time if both fighters were the same weight who would win. Take a look at Floyd he got beat by Madaina than he ask for pillow gloves a big ring a ref who's going to cheat for him in the 2nd fight he won but struggled do you really think If Rigo was a welter weight he would struggle with Madaina like Floyd did ? Remember it's not about accomplishment it's about who do you think would win at this time. If Rigo Fought Floyd today and both guys weighed the same I 'd say Rigo would win 8 to 10 rounds. Just because Rigo isn't a PPV star doesn't mean he shouldn't be number 1. If all fighters were the same weight name one fighter who would beat Rigo ?

This is an impossible question to answer. Respect to those that can give a concise explanation.

I somewhat agree. It's purely subjective and bias is always going to play a role whether intended or not.

How dare you!!? Bias will never do that!! We all think the same!

Was only kidding. Bias will forever have a say, and TBH it's the leading factor.

The work you put in/activity vs top 10 opponents.

How you beat those top 10 guys. Less credit if the style was made for the top 10 pvp boxer.

Catch weights should reduce the status of a top 10 pvp boxer.

Cheating with illegal substances or any other form should disqualify him from the list.
