At what point did you realise Mayweather was a top 10 ATG?

I guess you'll suddenly forget what Pacquaio did to Hatton, DLH, Mosley and Cotto?

What did he do to Mosley, caught a cramp?

What's the common theme with DLH, Hatton, Mosley and the 3rd and 4th Marquez fights?

Pacquiao fought those versions years after Mayweather fought them.

Marquez really belonged at 130, he moved up because the money fights were at the heavier weights, his age, and of course the Pacquiao rematch.

The only fighter he was able to compete with above 140 is Pacquiao, but thats not really an issue since they're naturally about the same size and have fought each other before. His last big matchup at 140+ with a p4p fighter was Bradley and he did terrible at 140+.

Marquez moving up to fight Mayweather = Mayweather moving up to fight GGG

*and have GGG miss contracted weight, then we'll see if indeed the weight doesn't matter.

floyd was an atg at super featherweight, arguably the best ever and without hesitation top 3. when he beat corrales in the fashion he did he put a stamp on it, that was that. atg.

then going through the weight classes beating champion after champion, HOFer after HOFer and usually with ease. idk if he is top 10 but he is easily top 15 imo.

people like to nitpick but you could do that with basically any fighter, they all have something going against them. that doesnt mean the good things never happened, you have to take the good with the bad and judge the fighters career as a whole. doing so there is no doubt mayweather is one of the best who ever did it.
          Good post.

That's ******ed at best. One of the dumbest posts I have read this year.

            Marquez: 126, 130, 135, 140, 147
            Mayweather: 130, 135, 140, 147, 154

Now how the hell would Mayweather fighting GGG be the same as Marquez fighting Mayweather? Mayweather has already moved 5 weight classes, same as Marquez. Marquez fighting Mayweather would have been like Floyd jumping from 140 to 154 to fight someone like Winky Wright back in the day.

Also: The only fighter Marquez was able to compete with above 140 was Pacquiao.

What!? I scored Marquez-Bradley a draw. How can you watch that fight and say it was not competitive? Marquez won on one scorecard and lost only by 1 point on another scorecard. I predicted Bradley would win clearly, because of styles, but I was wrong. JMM did very well vs Bradley and he showed against Pacquiao and Bradley that he is a legit fighter at WW. The way he schooled Alvarado at WW, a pretty big powerful guy, also solidified that JMM is no joke at 147.

How can you say Pacquiao is the only guy he's been competitive with when he basically beat Pacquiao twice, close fight with Bradley, and schooled Alvarado? In his 7 fights above 135, he's been beaten decisively only once but you guys hate who that "Once" was against. Say anything to discredit. If it was the other way around and Pac schooled Marquez in 2009 at WW, then Marquez KO'ed Mayweather years later, you'd be singing a different tune.

ah yes i remember when floyd pretended like he wanted the winky fight then when winky accepted he suddenly demanded more money. but floyd doesn't duck anyone

Seriously? A draw? I had Bradley winning 9-3 and it was hardly competitive IMO. The rounds I had Marquez were rounds that Bradley didn't exert himself as much in.

And for whoever said he was an ATG after just his Super FW run is a total dumb*ss.

Fighting khan in England I mean, would give him brownie points that he can travel. But if he beat Khan, Pac, and GGG at 160, he would be up there with SRL I think.
But as of right now, Floyd is top 40.
