I'll go with the guy that's the better boxer. You can't hurt what you can't hit. Let's just see Kovalev make it past Hopkins first.Comment

At this point an easy decision win for Ward. Kovalev is completely unproven against top tier opponents. Im not sure how he is the favorite against BHOP but whatever. Unless he totally steps up his game or catches Bernard I see BHOP embarrassing him in a cat and mouse type fight.Comment

That wasn't a legit KD..... Caparellos foot and all 175lbs of his body were on top of Kovalev's foot and then he punched him while stepping on his foot. ANY one would of stumbled back and fell down from that. Andre Ward would of fell on his butt as well. Come on bro.
And link to that footage??? I've never saw it. All I ever saw is him getting KD'ed by a world amateur champion and gold medalist at the amateur championships.Comment

Kovalev has as little chance of beating Ward as Andre has of leaving his cocoon at 168. Hell even a 50 year old Popkins is turning into a coin flip.Comment

No. 1 KD - 6th round. From all I've been able to establish Kovalev swept the early rounds seemingly at some point also hurting Boone badly but failing to capitalise then possibly started to slow in the fifth (he claims he simply ran out of energy after overtraining prior to the fight - though it seems that he may have been suffering from nerves - Boone at the time represented a real big step up), with Kovalev just kinda hanging on through 7 and 8 for the PTS win
If you can find any interview where Deezol even claims that there was more than 1 KD I'll be mightily impressed.
In fact to my knowlege Darnell has never even contested the Kovalev loss (which came in his home town at a time when Kovalev was an absolute nobody and it was still felt Deezol might have potential). What Boone has claimed was that he should have been given the nod against Ward, though myself I can't see giving him more than 1 round aside from the 10 - 8.Comment

One thing's for sure, you don't come back from over a year off and immediately get in the ring with Sergey Kovalev. One rusty round might lose you the fight.Comment
