Again your opinion is all you got woulda coulda shoulda , but the reality is he is avoiding prime hungry WWs , while holding a WW title he fights 5 JWs in a row .
you say he dosent care about maintaining legacy , obviously but he cares about winning and thats why he wont fight WW world champions , he will just lower legacy by fighting Algieri and Jessie Vargas ,,,,,,, something up the sht in that or Manny is ducking fighters that might beat him .
He was weighing 148 pounds on fight night fighting Marquez , he weighed 147 pounds on the night against Oscar who was 145 , I agree he walks around at about 150-155 , same as Floyd who was weighing 150 on the night against Canelo , now here is what I find confusing , Floyd can give Canelo 20 pounds but Manny cant fight WWs , Floyd can school JMM weighing the same as Manny did when he got iced , fact is Floyd is within a few pounds of Manny but he is expected to fight MWs but Manny is ok to fight a stream of JWWs .
Then you come on here moaning about how Manny got iced but fail to mention that Manny didn't really have to fight Marquez more than twice but like a true warrior he did, and he paid in the long run because of Marquez's familiarity with his style. You idiots are so quick to jump on that and give Floyd the victory all because he beats Marquez knowing damn well that triangle theories don't work in boxing or perhaps you don't know that. Ali, SRL, SRR (still regarded the best ever) got iced, did that take away from their greatness? Floyd got you illiterates so brainwashed that a loss diminishes a fighter hence you have to take as little risk as possible.
Sure Marquez might be that one fighter that troubles Pac but has it ever occurred to you idiots that Pac might very well be that one fighter that troubles Floyd which is why Floyd has been reluctant to take that fight? Trainer A says he beat Pac and this other one says the same, and you holding on to that? Do you know how ******ed that sounds? You say those things when one fighter is so much better than the other and NEWSFLASH, Floyd is not better than Manny. They both have their strengths and weaknesses. One is better at certain things than the other, which is why they still have to get in the ring and fight. That is the only way you know who is BETTER.Last edited by Hands of Stone; 10-28-2014, 11:48 PM.

I like Maidana. He is an exciting fighter and I would even buy a PPV card if he was headlining it. That being said, I don't give him much of a chance against Pac. The fight would be like a Pac vs Rios kind of a fight. It would be a pretty much a shutout for Pac.

Geez, what the fcuk is wrong with some of you illiterates? Manny is already the smaller guy in any fight he goes into including at 140. Are you so fcuking blind to see that or perhaps your brain is so disconnected from your eyes? You act like Floyd hasn't fought CWs either and by the way, Floyd never weighs 150 on fight night, you can spin it any way you want, there is a reason Floyd doesn't do fight night weigh-ins but you probably don't know or won't mention it 'cos you have no objectivity.

Mayweather is the better boxer that should not be disputed. What should be disputed is who would win the fight. Because Ali was a way better boxer than Frazier and Frazier defeated Ali.Last edited by Mike D; 10-29-2014, 12:09 AM.

This is the very rare instance where the the "duck" was not only documented but admitted. They took the fight because they never heard of Thurman and as soon as they saw tape of him they blatantly refuse to fight him, and have avoided him ever since.
And the person Maidana fought instead was Jesus soto caras, followed by Angel martinez, and josesito lopez. So yes Maidan ducked Thurman to fight 3 easier guys.
