    undisputed cherry picking king

Freddie Roach is the King of the Cherry Pick. Everytime I turn around one of his fighters is cherry picking and its usually for a major title.

Latest ex. Cotto Martinez. Roach is not shy about letting it be known either. He will tell you himself that the opponent is washed up or not in his fighers league.

Does this make him a good or bad trainer?

Arum has cherrypicked hard for pacquiao but no floyd is the biggest cherry picker ever I don't see any fighter in history beating him in that department

Is there any truth to Roach once telling Mosley that he was "too good" at that particular time to face Manny?

You can try to deflect with sarcasm but I can name numerous examples.

I know Freddie is not a promoter but it seems like his fighter is always taking on somebody overmatched.

Then Freddie brags about how his guy doesnt belong in the same ring as the opponent, opponent can no longer pull the trigger. Etc

100% true and the article and maybe interview is probably archived here.

              yes.

but it was right after delahoya-pac.

remember pac just moved from 130 to 135.

he had 1 fight at 135, diaz.

the 147 fight with oscar was a circus sideshow.

ppl felt pac had no biz at 147 and ODLH was gonna kill him, including me.

after hatton at 140, pac at 147 was taken more seriously.

he then fought cotto and clottey who were comparable to past prime mosley.

I dont want this thread to be about pac man but those are several cherry picks.

No just Arum either, look at the Goldenboy fighters Freddie has had.

arum cherrypicks for his wallet not pac.

he doesn't care if it's a tough fight as long as pac opponent is also his fighter.

cotto, clottey were tough fights but TR so bob don't care.

jmm and ssm had to sign with TR too.

bob wants both ends of a pac bout.

it's like being a real estate broker.

being the agent for both the buyer and seller is double commission. that's why they always show you the houses they're listing first.

hatton, cotto and clottey were not cherrypicks. that's just goofy.

pac was a cherrypick for delahoya.
