Matchroom Sports promoter Eddie Hearn believes Carl Frampton will next defend his IBF super bantamweight title against mandatory challenger Chris Avalos. Hearn is helping Top Rank with the campaign of Avalos' world title shot.
Hean's goal is to make a unification between Frampton and WBA 'regular' champion Scott Quigg. The fight between Frampton and Avalos is likely for February, says Hearn. He hopes to reach a deal with Frampton's handlers, but he's also ready to money up and a purse bid.
Frampton (19-0, 13KOs) captured the title last month with a dominating twelve round unanimous decision over Kiko Martinez.
