    Sergio retirement?

So has Sergio Martinez officially retired? I remember a month or two back he said he would know in about a week after a physical evaluation. I haven't heard anything about it since.

As they're both with DiBella, maybe he'll fight Jermain Taylor. Certainly I'd rather that than seeing him (or Taylor) fed to a young power puncher.

I've not read anything solid on him 100% definitley coming back though.

i was thinking about it the other day. sergio seems like an emotional dude. if he was told by his doctors to retire i think he would take it pretty bad and thats why we haven't heard from him. he's not ready to face it with the public. or who knows maybe he is training secretly and planning to announce a fight soon

I just hope he doesn't make a fight with Golovkin.

            He needs to.

He is in no condition to be fighting, last time we saw him his knee was buckling on itself when trying to move at times. He has been a shell since Chavez round 12.

If Maravilla is going to fight again, I like that one. And even if its just on paper, winning a Super Middle strap enhances his legacy.

But win lose or draw Martinez needs to retire next. Had a great career out of nowhere. I dont care what nebody has to say.

He can't fight Taylor. Cotto stopped Martinez in his last fight and the IBF doesn't allow fighters who were stopped in their last fight to fight for their title.
