Comments Thread For: Coyle, Campbell Positioned For May Domestic Blockbuster

Tommy Coyle kept hopes of a summer clash in 2015 with Luke Campbell well and truly alive, as he produced a stunning second round stoppage of former world title challenger Michael Katsidis in Hull. Their mutual promoter Eddie Hearn says the fight will take place at the KC Stadium in Hull on May 30, 2015.

Coyle (20-2, 9KO’s) boxed well, keeping out of the Australian’s range in the first round, before Katsidis (now 30-7, 24KO’s) pushed forward in the second, trying to drag the local hero into a war.

What he got was a picture perfect left hook, which Coyle threw from off the ropes, icing Katsidis and sending him hurtling towards a second retirement.

Some guy said he was happy Goldenboy paid off the judges in the Caballero fight and that he would be rich if Kat got the KO. Guys with an attitude like that it is great to see lose money on Kat tonight. Pretty ***ed up when someone endorses corruption just so they can win money.

Coyle/Campbell should be held off until one of them has a genuine title. Willie Limond holds the British title, so how about getting him in the equation?

Eddie Hearn is trying to make every all British match a "summer stadium fight" now. It's getting pretty tedious.

I can just see it now, "Coyle vs Campbell - this fight carrrn't 'appen wivout pay-per-view"

I couldn't be less interested I very much doubt that sells out and I genuinely won't buy It it's it's PPV. I'm buying the Clevery-Bellew card so that tells you how bad this card would be if it's PPV.

Coyles dead average if not worse, Luke Campbell I don't rate either and I find him extremely boring to watch.

Did you hear Hearn describing them as "Two World Class Lightweights"?

              Cringe.

You can't fault Hearn for trying to sell that fight if fuckers are dumb enough to buy into it...

Campbell is a good boxer but lacks any sort of power, is going to have to rely on British stoppages to win fights inside the distance. Coyle is limited as **** who'll end up a Purdy-esque fighter and probably fight Mickey Bey for the IBF title.

atleast they took the chance on katsidis, the matchmaking wernt too bad, malinga looks way past his best though, kinda dissapointed that he survived 12 rounds he looked quite tame.

Wow no I didn't. I skipped through most of it last night I didn't watch it live.

On what planet are either world class? Especially Coyle. Pretty obvious that he's a domestic level fighter.
