GGG will steamroll this guy just like the others too. As much as it sucks, middleweight is just a pile of ****e. To get the biggest, best fights, and make the most of his shortening career, he just should move up to 168 as unfortunate as it is.

What's after Murray, who, let's face it, is and has only ever been a contender? His two shots came against guys that, if he was good, he would have beaten, as evidenced by their both getting clearly beaten not long after he fought them. They were ripe for the taking by any world class fighter and all he could do was put up a good showing against a couple of past it faded champs. That's not the level of a guy that will create a great fight with GGG.

He'll get KOd in a few rounds and then what? N'Jikam? Quillin? Those guys suck ass. At least if he does move up, which sucks that he has to to get big fights, there is Froch, Kessler, Ward, Abraham, even Dirrell, Chavez Jr, etc.

I want to see GGG in some good fights that are actually more than test fights for young prospects rather than veteran, long time champs. He's been fighting young prospect fights since 2010 when he became a 'world champion' against ultra randomo Nilson 'Whothe****' Tapia. Geale was a step up, but he'd still just lost his title too.

This madness has got to stop. He's one of the longest reigning champs in and around his division with the most defenses, yet he's also the least tested of any long term champion, arguably in all of boxing. He's got the potential to make great fights with the other top guys, so someone needs to get off their ****ing ass and actually get him the big fights that we want to see. Otherwise, hand him off to someone who can actually do it, has the balls to do it, and also the financial backing to make other top guys fight him.

He's a well publicised, HBO backed, tv friendly champion. If his management can't get him a single big fight against another big name champion, it's because they don't have the ability to do so. It's not about opponents not wanting it. The management just don't seem to a) have the nous and capability, financial and otherwise, to do it or b) they don't want to put him in the biggest fights.

This is just another stepping stone fight...but he's had 11 stepping stone fights across four years as champion since 2010. Either his management don't want to, or they actually can't. I suspect the latter. Either way, it's boring knowing the outcome of each fight of his before it happens, how it's going to play out, even down to the round and style. There's no surprise and boxing is the sport of surprise.
    Excellent post as usual.

Golovkin will destroy Murray in one sided fashion. In my opinion no one at middle stands up to Golvkins ferocious power. I think if he moves up Froch and Ward beat him though he won't know what to do when guys stand up to his power.

Dude is obviously the best in that weak ass MW division...why is he still wasting time fighting at 160?!?....I mean Jermaine Taylor is a belt holder in that neighborhood, that alone should tell you how lame the MW division is atm

Murray gets stopped....dude had issues with Maravilla's shadow so how the **** is he supposed to deal with Gennady Godzilla Golovkin?!?....smh

6 rounds is far as I can see this going.

Murray doesn't possess the power to worry Golovkin, the speed to hit and move or the skill to outbox him. He will tuck up behind his high gaurd and throw some shots every now and again.

Ultimately, Golovkin will push him around, land some shots and force a stoppage.

Ridiculous post. The guy is cleaning out the 160 division, fighting anyone withing reach. He wants the big fights with Cotto and Canelo, but knows that fight won't happen until late 2015, so why wait around? In the mean time he's staying active, fighting the next best possible opponent at 160, and movin on.

Why should he move up to 168? Ward isn't fighting him, Ward has promotional issues. Chavez Jr. has promotional issues. Has Andre Dirrell fought again? I still though he was looking for his doctor. Froch would not fight him either. He'd fight Chavez Jr, or Kessler 3, which are more lucrative fights for Froch. And what good would a victory against Abraham be? How would that be different from a Murray fight?

You're here just looking for any excuse to hate on the guy, when in reality GGG is doing everything right. He's fighting everyone put in front of him, hurting them, he's entertaining the fans, and more importantly he's staying active. He's keeping his name in boxing fan's mouths, by fighting as much as poosible. It's the reason he's quickly becoming one of boxings most recognized names.

Best available middleweight. Hell, he may be the best middleweight that GGG hasn't flattened. No beef here.

Murray will do better than Geale and Rubio did. Not that that's saying much, but Murray is underrated and NOBODY has had an easy fight with him.

If Golovkin just walks through him in a few rounds like the others then I will be shocked.

By far Golovkin's biggest test thus far. Murry is a solid guy. I thought he beat Martinez and Sturm.

He's got nothing to hurt GGG with, he's got a good textbook defence which might see him go a few rounds but GGG will just start throwing to the body forcing Murray to drop his hands and then it'll be game over.

GGG is ducking Ward, if he really wanted that fight he would become a lawyer and win Wards lawsuit. Then move to 168.
