My prediction...

Kovalev will come out fast and catch Hopkins with something early (rounds 1 - 3). Hopkins will either take a standing eight count or get up from a knockdown to survive the early fight.

Kovalev will be up on the scorecards after five rounds because of KD and activity rate.

Rounds 6 - 9: Hopkins turns up his activity rate in order to win the rounds and even out the scorecards. In doing so, Hopkins puts himself into the vulnerable striking range and gets caught during an explosion of punches from Kovalev. He makes the count but his balance is shot and looks to be in trouble as Kovalev continues to assault him. The referee steps in and waves off the fight.

I love what Hopkins is doing at his age and I hate to call this a cherry-pick but...Kovalev's style is tailor made for him. Sergey's going to be lost if he can't get this old man outta there early.

I concur. Kovalev has never even been passed 8 rounds. If he can't get B-Hop outta there early he's in trouble.

He'll be fine if it goes over 8. And that's a big if. Nard throws about 30 punches a round and poses. He's not wearing Kovalev out. It's gonna be one way action with Nard in survival mode until he finally breaks down between rounds 6-10. Nard's got NOTHING for him. Odds should be 10-1 not 2-1.

Agreed! People dont realize how easy this will be for Hopkins if he is anything near not past his best.
