Cuz Ward is ****ing boring. Lol GGG is good for boxing. And this is from a big Cotto fan who knows a fight with that monster awaits my son. I can easily be like oh, GGG is scared of Ward, he needs to move up and fight him. But nah, No fear over here and I honestly wouldn't even want Ward to fight GGG and maybe beat him. Cuz it's gonna be bad for boxing. Ward will just hit and grab, hit and grab. Over and over. That **** is lame to me.Comment

You're kidding right? How much is Murray paying you to say that? You really think Golovkin is ducking Martin Murray? He can and will clean out the entire MW division if and when given the opportunity. Murray can talk all he wants, just like Curtis Stevens, Geale and everyone else who thought Golovkin was beatable. Get in the ring and prove it. You are the most logical opponent for Golovkin at this time. Win your next fight and eat your words against GGG just like everyone else.
And to the user who pointed out all of Golovkin's supposed flaws, you must be the only one seeing them because even Murray, a professional boxer and MW contender said he doesn't see any flaws. Golovkin is not a runner, outside boxer or boxer puncher who runs around and waits for counters. This is not his style. He wants to excite the fans, he wants "big drama show". Not a borefest as per the likes of Mayweather, Rigondeaux, Lara and dare I say Ward. He is a power puncher. He does set his feet to throw a punch but because of his excellent range finding, he rarely leaves himself open for a decent counter. Did you even watch his last few fights? Any time he misses a big shot, he is rarely in position to be hit flush because of his range and positioning. On top of that, his opponents up to this point have been mostly afraid to try any big follow through power punches because they know what's coming back. Rubio made attempts to do so and was completely unsuccessful. Geale attempted to do so, got a decent shot in and was knocked out. His defense is not poor. His range is excellent and keeps his opponent on the defensive with clean, accurate punching from his range. Also, he is an expert at cutting off the ring, not allowing his opponent to find their range or use the ring to their advantage.
As far as the comment about Ward being his only competition, that might be true but unless you've been under a rock for the past year, Ward is not currently fighting anybody except his recently deceased ex-promoter! It's not like Golovkin, a fighter in his prime, at 30+ years old, is going to wait around for Ward to get his head out of his ass and get back in the ring.
Cotto, Canelo, Murray: Line up and get knocked down like bowling pins.Comment

Murray is a pretty solid boxer, not much more. I admit he proved to be better than I thought but I wouldn't go as far to say he was No.2 in Britain.Comment

Golovkin is a savage, he'd butcher Murray for another KO win with zero fuss!
Ward vs GGG is the oh so rare occasion where a catch weight fight makes senseComment

Re: KnickTilDeath
Boxing is supposed to be entertaining and fighters like Golovkin are actually producing excitement. Do you generally prefer fights that go the distance where no solid shots are landed? Until it is proved otherwise, I am of the current opinion that Golovkin is the best middleweight out there. It's pretty sad that you have to resort to claiming I'm not a real boxing fan because I think Golovkin would wipe the floor with Martin Murray and the other top ranked MWs. That's just my personal opinion buddy. All this condescending, self righteous talk about being an "avid" boxing enthusiast is meaningless, pretentious yammering.
Any of GGG's supposed weaknesses have not been a factor in his PRO fights. Amateur fights and sparring is preparation for pro fights where you will hopefully have a fan base. What GGG looks like in amateur fights and sparring is completely irrelevant. His performance in the ring is what is judged by the boxing public. Can you name one flaw Golovkin has that has caused him any trouble as a pro boxer up until now?
If not, don't bother mentioning a flaw you saw in GGG's game in some amateur fight or sparring session. That's where you to work on flaws and weaknesses. Sure he can be beaten, if a better MW comes along. But I would think most boxing fans wouldn't give Murray or any other MW much chance with GGG at this time.Comment
