The ego on Algieri, he got lucky getting the Pacquiao fight by getting a decision over Provodnikov in a fight that was far from a clear victory now he thinks Provodnikov has to get to his level first before he will consider a rematch? What an ass.
We'll see what level he feels hes on after Pacquiao levels him.
Marquez is the closest thing to it because of his skills but his tendency to get into exchanges pretty much disqualifies him from being labeled a pure boxer. It seems that this will be Pacquiao's first time in the ring with a pure boxer that fights behind his jab like Chris Algeri.

I agree with Chris Algeri. Anyone who thinks Provodnikov won that fight was just praying for a robbery. You don't get out landed in every round of a boxing match and hope to hang your hat on two knock downs that happened in the first round and a handful of power shots landed for a undeserved victory. Provodnikov being given the decision against Algeri would have been an injustice.
This Algieri dude is rubbing me the wrong way with his arrogance. This is not confidence...this is arrogance, and for that, i am hoping Manny do us justice.

I don't really see any arrogance in the guy. He seems to be really level headed and down to earth. He is saying all of the right things in my opinion. Boxing, and fighting in general for that matter, is very psychological. Going in to the ring with any thing less than supreme confidence would be a mistake. And he is absolutely correct when he says that people who think Provodnikov won their fight don't know boxing.
