Comments Thread For: Chris Algieri: Pacquiao's Experience is His Best Weapon

WBO junior welterweight champion Chris Algieri (20-0, 8KOs) says Manny Pacquiao's experience is his biggest weapon.

Pacquiao, an eight division world champion, has fought some of the biggest names to grace the ring in the last twenty years - Erik Morales, Oscar De La Hoya, Miguel Cotto, Marco Antonio Barrera, Ricky Hatton, Timothy Bradley, Juan Manuel Marquez, and many others.

Algieri is coming off the biggest win of his career, a June decision over Ruslan Provodnikov.

You can have all the weapons in the world, speed, power, agility etc, without experience it means nothing. If Pac got experience as his best weapon, you are in a world of hurt.

It's one of his many weapons he will use to absolutely destroy you.

He better hope Pacquaio shows mercy.

Can't help but think this kids too confident that jab will keep Pacquaio at bay and once he witnesses the angles, handspeed & power he will stink up the joint & go into a shell like Mosley.

Mind you he kind of fights like he is in survival mode anyway with all the back peddling and merely flicking his jab out.

holy ****! respect to pacquiao, Look at all those legendary names on his resume. Sometimes I forget how tough the road was for pac to get to where he is now. He did it the hard way and nothing was given to him.

I think this will look a lot like the Mosley fight.

I just keep going back to Roach not wanting Pac to fight Foreman because of his style. Algieri is long and has that style to trouble Pac. This is an exciting fight to me. If Pac can take Algieri apart then that's a good win.

He keeps mentioning his jab. Pacquiao counters the jab incredibly well. He tore apart Cotto by just countering his jab.

Chris Algieri will soon discover that Manny's right hand and left hand are His Best Weapons.

the way he pivot is annoying as fuck. its like he takes a step foward pause and then turns real quick.
