    WBC Silver heavyweight champion Carlos Takam (30-1-1, 23 KOs) went face to face with Russia's Alexander Povetkin (27-1, 19 KOs) at the final press conference. The two boxers will collide on Saturday night in Luzhniki, Moscow, Russia.

    Takam won the title in his last fight defeating Tony Thompson on points in June, in a bout that took place on the Marcel Cerdan de Houts de Seine Sports Palace in France.
    Povetkin is coming off an impressive KO of Manuel Charr, when he conquering the WBC International title.

    In the co-feature, cruiserweight Olympic gold medal winner Rakhim Chakhkiev (19-1, 14KOs) will take on former champion Giacobbe Fragomeni (32-4-2, 13KOs) for the vacant EBU cruiserweight title. [Click Here To Read More]

            povetkin weighed 5 lbs heavier than his last fight. had a feeling he wasn't going to keep that same shape he had against charr. its pathetic how most heavyweights today are too damn lazy to get in tip top shape

                As far as the 5 lbs, Takam weighs 252 pounds and isn't fat... He is a few imaginary weight classes above Povetkin. I don't think coming in at a ripped 220 would be the best strategy for Sasha who is going to get ragdolled in the clinch already.

                  Takam is the guy who drew with Mike Perez. So, either Perez is history, or Takam has something going on. Povetkin should win this, counting just experience.
