He'd better be careful not to hit Mexico too hard, otherwise it will all be over before they have a chance to give him his belt.

Hell, the way he fights we oughta just go ahead and make him an honorary Mexican and be done with it.
I'd rather they grant him Mexican citizenship instead of this bogus ceremony.

Mexican style...Gabino Gervasio Gonzales, "Tres G"

Oh come on now Javi....you know, I've seen several posts on here that mention Thurman as being a hype job, you would obviously disagree (I as well)...in the interest of a healthy debate, how can you watch GGG fight and honestly assess him as a mere "hype job"?

That interim belt doesn't mean too much. But it means one important thing - that Miguel "King" Cotto would have to prove his royal rights against GGG.
In fact I really like Cotto. In this particular case he better vacate the belt and save his health. Also I think that Cotto has better chances in their May 15 fight.

I guess it's less of a ceremony and more of a PR event but it's still a bit ******ed

At least it'll give Golovkin an opportunity to unveil his new catchphrase, whatever it will be, and talk about Cotto-Canelo while he's at it.

A lot of people are afraid to go to Mexiclo. Ask PETUFF, he'll tell you how bad it is. 3G is not afraid, he has respect. He spreads his brand, maybe he can call out, sell out, and knock out Jr. or Canelo in Mexico. His Spanish sounds better than his English, his rep precedes him, Mexico has a boxing culture. I think it good for him to visit, especially.for a trivial, junk belt. That just shows more respect.
