Rios and Ruslan both wanted the fight @ 140. Bob Arum told Provodnikov's people that Rios couldn't make 140 (even though he was Rios' Promoter) and so they went with Algeri.

This is an entertaining but not a compelling fight.. Provo has been exposed by Algieri as a limited fighter...

I'm sorry I'm not going to suck every big punching slugger's **** like the fans on here do...

Not that I respect runners like Lara who do nothing and try to win fights by default...

We need better match ups... this in-house Arum/Haymon has been so lame so many years now...

Let's not forget that Marquez ducked Ruslan to fight Alvarado, whom Ruslan had just KOed...

I think Ruslan preferred to stay at 140 because of how much bigger he is than those guys..and @ 147...he's just another one of the guys...

              Rios would weigh-in like 160+

Ruslan's team tried to cherry pick a soft-punching guy who is a boxer and isn't even that good at it (Algieri gets hit way too much), but it turned out Algieri could outbox the hell out of Ruslan and take his punch well enough to win a decision...

Abregu would get his face caved in.

I really like this fight I think Provo would win but Abregu would probably land a few bombs and get up from knockdowns. I also wouldn't be surprised if Abregu wins he's quite the puncher IMO.

Anyone else notice that he asked his manager about a catchweight and they never responded back? Kind of a lame request. I do think an Abregu/Provodnikov match could be entertaining but I'm really looking forward to see if Sadam Ali is as talented as they say.
