Comments Thread For: Anthony Joshua Latest Target Of Tyson Fury Twitter Rants

Manchester’s Tyson Fury must be confident that he will secure a second victory over EBU heavyweight titlist Dereck Chisora in November as the 6’ 9’’ heavyweight took to Twitter last night to call for a December meeting with rising heavyweight star Anthony Joshua, 9-0 (9). Fury, 22-0 (16), was hit with a £15,000 fine in July after one verbal outburst too many prompted the BBBoC to take action against the undefeated contender and he has been fairly quiet in recent months.

Fury, though, has taken to the social media site again, vowing to take care of Chisora, 20-4 (13), before moving straight into a December date with Joshua following Eddie Hearn’s claim that the Londoner would “Destroy” Fury if they met. ‘I challenge @anthonyfjoshua @EddieHearn to fight in December after I smash chisora,’ he Tweeted. ‘If u don't want to fight say sorry for mentioning me!?’ [Click Here To Read More]

Well, if Fury is going to fight Joshua, the sooner the better from his point of view. If they fought in December - which they won't - I'm sure Fury would win. Further down the line, who knows. They are both very young for heavyweights and still improving.
If they both keep winning, this will be a huge fight, in more ways than one, in a couple of years time. Maybe with a world title at stake

I'm worried Eddie Hearn might try to protect his investment in Joshua abit too much further down the line. Preying that's not the case and he is fighting top contenders in his division a year or 2 from now. But we'll see.

Hearn won't put Joshua anywhere near Tyson Fury.

Joshua will be protected for at least 12-18 months.

If he fought Fury now he would be exposed, badly.

I am not a huge fan of Fury, but he is far more talented than Joshua.

Joshua's strength is his athleticism - he has not been chin checked, or had to fight more than a couple of easy rounds against journeymen.

I actually think that Joshua VS Price would be a decent fight now.

I was listening to the 'toe-to-toe' podcast the other week and Joshua described Fury and Chisora as the stand out domestic rivals who were on the brink of world level...therefore not on his radar just yet.

I think if the fight was to be made, it would be better sooner rather than later for Fury. As Joshua is improving all the time.

I was there when these two sparred back in 2010.

Fury later said that Joshua beat him up but this wasn't the case, tbh.

They boxed 6 rounds and there wasn't much in it...more holding and grappling with Fury woofing like a small dog on occasions trying to unsettle and unnerve the less experienced Joshua.

I think its a 50/50 match up if they fought now. In a year or so, Joshua will KO him.
