There are TWO different styles of cotto bro. When he was with his uncle/ and now freddy roach, and another more "boxing" style when he was with pedro diaz. With diaz, he wasn't attacking as much and pretty much abandoned his killer left hook to the body.

he beat up delvin rodriguez and a guy who was coming off a year layoff and 2 knee surgeries. I don't think cotto is any different. he just had the luxury of fighting 2 fighters that were inferior too him.

and we agree that styles make fights. canelo vs cotto is the perfect fight for each other's style.

why don't you want cotto too fight canelo or ggg?

Maan I love cotto. He paid his dues but he acts like a self-entitled lil diva! What other options does he have that could bring him a lot of money? Pac but no way same trainer, canelo but he's whining to be the a side, or floyd who has shown no interest also sr doesn't care for a rematch. And cotto is what, gonna waste his only voluntary on a tune up then relinquish his belt to avoid GGG?

So what are the chances Cotto goes with GGG over Canelo? He did it with Martinez. He likes to call the shots. Would 50/50 of a Canelo fight be worth more than 70/30 of a GGG fight? GGG would come to New York. I doubt it happens but wouldn't surprise me either.

I thought Arum said negotiations have already began

I think its clear that Arum/Deboef met with Oscar over the weekend with the GGG fight happening and probably with Cotto's people as well to gauge what it will take to get the fight done. The next step is to have Canelo's people get involved now that Oscar has had a chance to talk to Top Rank. So talks have happened even though actual negotiations haven't taken place yet.

It's not about me, or my sentiments; it's about the fact that, as with most things Mayweather-magnet-Las Vegas-lights, the PPV figures would likely turn out to say, "a huge YES."
