He should fight Andre Ward or Mikhail Kessler at 168. GGG wants a fight against a big name opponent on PPV. Then he should fight Kessler in Denmark. The fight would sell at least 30,000 tickets due to Kessler's popularity and would appear on PPV in Denmark. GGG would get the biggest payday of his career.

Ward's already half way into the retirement home, GGG might as well send him there for good next.

Golovkin is a world beater at 160, but his camp shouldn't have said they'd fight anyone from 154 to 168, because honestly GGG is too small to fight a real 168.

Nobody can beat GGG at 160, or even survive to the end. I'd love to see him fight the supposed lineal title guy Cotto, who would quit in the ring like he did against Pacquaio, only worse, or Canelo, who would be knocked unconscious because he would try to trade.

I'm sick of hearing about ****** crappy clinching Ward. He's a 168 who would have a great chance of beating GGG simply by clinching and being by far the larger guy. I hate Ward's guts. I also hate Cotto and hope GGG fights him (won't happen) and gives him permanent brain damage.

I voted Lara at a catch weight. Lets see him take an elite fighter with a different style. I don't think Lara would win (or anyone else on the list for that matter), but I want to see Golovkin challenged in different ways. I can't get excited about Martin Murray who's an extremely limited fighter and not really much better than Adama or Ishida. Nor do I want to see mismatch fights with Cotto (even at 154) or Taylor. As just pointed, Kessler in Denmark would be huge and command a great deal more respect than Murray in Monaco.

Ultimately I want to see the Ward fight, but that fight should be built into a mega-fight and not something for the quick satisfaction of the Golovkin critics. Ward's lost all his momentum from the S6, then there's major stigma of being a guy who's only looking easy fights. Ducks Bute, forces Dawson to be weight drained, signs to fight a clearly shot Pavlik, calls out Chavez then puts Chavez down when it looks like Froch is going to fight him. On top of that he has a boring and dirty style and needs a guy like Golovkin to give him a big fight.

Everybody says they'd move down to fight Mayweather...Ward, Hopkins, GGG...its called prizefighting for a reason....them saying they would move down does not make it realistic
Interesting you bring that up. How much money do you think is there for a Golovkin-Ward fight? Ward has $1.75mill guarantee while Golovkin just fought for a high of $900k. In this fight both guys would be looking for $2mill and more apiece. Ward's marketability is **** right now because the guy's had one fight in over two years and it stunk. Golovkin-Froch isn't even big enough yet for a feasible ppv, and that would sell far more than Golovkin-Ward.

Andre's a great talent, but all he's done is whine. He's hurting the chance of this fight happening anytime soon because he's done nothing in a real long time that would sell this kind of fight. His fight with Froch did poor numbers despite supposing to be a major event. Dawson was an established star and LHW champ, but he had limited options left at LHW and agreed to take short money and the weigh cutt to fight Ward. That event would've done crap on ppv.

I like how you totally bypassed this....do you favor GGG to beat Ward or not

You mean to tell me a fight with Froch wouldn't be big in the UK....even in Cali where GGG is building a great Mexican following....they don't care your about race, or creed as long as you bring excitement which he does

Ward vs GGG would do good as well in Cali whether in Oakland or LA....Ward is the champ so he calls the shots, is more proven, not much to argue there

match-up wise and money wise GGG vs. Froch or Ward > GGG vs. Murray, N'Jikam or other middleweight contenders

                  Canelo was 172 to Trout's 171.

Here it is from a long time Floyd supporter Iole, well stated:

That said, it's not outrageous to suggest that they fight, because Mayweather does hold a 154-pound belt and Golovkin has repeatedly said he could make 154 pounds easily. If you're a 154-pound champion, then you should be ready, willing and able to fight anyone who can make the 154-pound limit.

There was ample evidence presented just last week that proves Golovkin could make it. On the Monday before the fight, he weighed 161 pounds, just one over the middleweight limit and only seven away from the super welterweight limit.

Tom Loeffler: "I’ve reached out to Eddie Hearn, and I said that Gennady will come to UK and fight Carl Froch at 168 pounds in England."

Froch: "Just swerve Golovkin like the plague. He punches like a mule. I don’t need to be in with him. Dangerous fight."

Froch clarifies the above lol: "It was tongue in cheek back then. I was being a bit cheeky and you can take those comments with a pinch of salt. What I will say though is this guy can ****ing punch: he's dangerous and if he can be avoided we'll avoid him"

Hearn: "Froch is financially comfortable, but that doesn’t mean he’ll get in the ring for less than he deserves, and that is a horrible, dangerous fight."
