That's why he wants it. He wants to fight in Vegas, and Chavez is his ticket to a Vegas fight.

      1. The fight will sell out no matter where it is on the west coast against either Froch or Golovkin (and not because of Chavez, who even though has awesome tv ratings, he has had trouble selling tickets lately because Mexicans are ashamed of him).
      2. GGG is just as much if not more well known than Froch in the United States now.
      3. Maybe I'm wrong, but the British TV money would go mostly to Froch, right?
      4. Golovkin wants a PPV fight bad and his side would most definitely give Chavez a much bigger revenue split than Froch would just to get the fight.

I think Froch and Golovkin would both beat Chavez, but the Froch fight would be more competitive. Golovkin-Chavez is a more of a fun slaughter....I think Bob should push for that one so when Chavez leaves TR, he leaves damaged.
Froch is a bigger draw in the UK than GGG is anywhere.

As for how the fights would play out. I think Froch and Jr both are tough outs for GGG. GGG isn't a flawless fighter. His most obvious holes are defensively. In Froch and Jr, he would be against naturally bigger guys. In the case of Jr, a much bigger. Both are crude. Both can punch. And both can take a punch. GGG has had a lotta success because guys basically run from him. And most of them aren't natural movers. The guy that's been most competitive with GGG recently is Stevens. He stood his ground, took some big shots, and landed several of his own. How does GGG deal with a crude guy like Froch in his face all night, eating GGG's shots and landing his own? How does he deal with what will likely be a cruiserweight in Jr being in his chest all night, leaning on him, and raking him with big shots. I favor GGG over both. But I think he would have his hands full with both.

Then who should he fight besides Ward, who is inactive and would not be ****** enough to fight GGG after a 1 year+ layoff? Thanks.

Personally, I don't understand why people think Cotto-Nelo is a guaranteed box office hit. Nor why the winner and GGG is a guaranteed seller. Cotto and Nelo's last PPVs bombed and GGG is a PPV ******.

Maybe, but he's earned the right to do whatever he wants.
          - Maybe it's because of the Mexico vs Puerto Rico rivalry that has been going on since like FOREVER...that, plus each boxer has their own huge, rabid fan-base

          - As a fan of the sport, I wish he'd spend more time in the ring than in court

and my my, hitking, haven't YOU been the popular one lately amigo???

Right, but the fight would be in the US on the west coast, cali or Las Vegas, where it is naive to say that Froch is definitely a bigger draw. GGG is on fire in the US right now.

It will be a PPV fight in the UK, and it will do around a million buys.

No matter how you look at it, the Froch fight is bigger and more lucrative.

Froch-GGG in UK is 3x as big as it is here. Which is why, according to Dan Rafael, GGG is willing to travel to the UK to fight him.

If Cotto-Nelo is a box office hit, I'd be shocked.

It's hard to move up, then move back down and be effective. GGG has unfinished business at 160, making no sense in moving up quite yet.
