WBO junior welterweight champion Chris Algieri (20-0, 8KOs) has studied Manny Pacquiao's fights very closely - especially his four fight series with Juan Manuel Marquez.

Nobody has gives Pacquiao more trouble than Marquez. They went to a draw in the first meeting. Pacquiao secured controversial decisions in the next two fights, where many observers and fans were split on the actual winner. Problem is, Marquez's strategy involved serious power and insane counterpunching skill, of which Algieri has neither.

If Algieri brings his AAA game and Manny is much more faded than I think he is, maybe Algieri can eke out a boring decision win, but I don't see it happening.

Frankly it's a crap fight. It's acceptable considering the circumstances (no other realistic option for Manny right now), but it's impossible to get excited about.
