Exactly the type of fighter that boxing needs. I was surprised to see the level of support he got though from the Mexicans, which further underlines his potential to be the new face of the sport.

Maybe the time of the *Prima Donna(s) is finally passing, which should result in more brawls and less ballet.

*A very temperamental person with an inflated view of their own talent or importance.
synonyms: ego, self-important person, his nibs, temperamental person, princess, diva, pooh-bah, drama queen.

GGG is one of the last remaining hopes of what boxing is all about and how it was back in its glory days. He fights often and takes on all challengers. He doesn't care for the politics of boxing and trash talking. He does his talking in the ring and delivers with knockouts. It doesn't get any better than GGG at this point in boxing.

Triple Duck's star power was impressive, his opponent not so much.

          LOL...

I was amazed when I got there to see how many people were wearing either a hat or a GGG shirt of some kind, even on people I would be sure would be rooting for Rubio. When everyone started chanting his name it really surprised me how loud it started to get. Making CA his home is going to be a huge step forward.

Which makes it even more puzzling why they want to shove his next fight at a casino in front of 400 people.

Imagine what an icon he must be in Kazakhstan. He's the first of the wave too, the first to make it big. They'll have more champs in the years to come given their amateur dominance, but he was the one who did it first.

Rubio getting booed surprised me. That crowd was all for Golovkin.

Because HBO can't televise 4 of his fights every year. He must have a good thing going to keep going back to Monte Carlo.
