the people saying mma in america have to update themselves on current events

mma is in the ****ter, quite frankly. all their stars have either left or got beaten. weidman is not a star, pettis is injured, cain is boring, and jon jones is not a star. nobody i know watches anymore and i couldnt even tell you the date of the next big fight, nor do i care. these guys all have no personality and charisma.

rousey is a star but because shes hot, not because people actually care to see her fight. womens fighting is not and will never be popular.

without brock lesnar, gsp, chuck liddell, rampage, etc. this sport is done. i would also make the argument that even IF a lot of stars were still competing, mma would still be on the decline. it seems people have finally gotten fed up with the incessant clinching, grappling, lay n pray, etc. plus seeing those nonathletic beef heads strike is like watching 2 drunk men with no striking experience go at it. womens mma is even worse. this is all coming from a person who used to be an enormous fan

over here its boxing by a landslide ... mma has some support on the fringes, but most people aren't able to name even 1 mma star.
