Boxing vs MMA: Which sport is more popular at the moment?

Okay! I want an honest opinion on which of them 2 combat sports is more popular ? Boxing or MMA?

world wide its still boxing. in america its probably mma.

mma has more mainstream fans anyways, if you look at which sport has more fans where boxing or mma respectively is their number one sport boxing is probably still in front.

This seems about right to me as well...

Though the most popular boxers still trump the mma fighters in recognition I suppose.

Seems mma fans arent as knowledgeable about mma as boxing fans of boxing though.

Then again..... It probably just seems that way to me as I know people who do know their boxing and follow it closely.
