He says that but his actions show differently.
Again he has a history of doing this. He didn't want to fight Bute, didn't want a rematch with Froch in England, he didn't want to fight Stevenson, wasn't moving up to 75 for Kovalev. He tried to get HBO to approve of mediocre fighters for his televised fights. He sues his promoter continuously in court, and at the same time says he doesn't know why his promoter isn't negotiating fights. He talks out of both sides of his mouth.

So sorry if I don't really believe Ward when he says he wants the fight.

Why isn't it on the self-proclaimed "Most Feared Man in Boxing" to make an offer?

Lol at this make an offer excuse. Golovkin's team have categorically stated that they do not want the fight right now.

He didn't want to fight Bute or Froch in England....ok but he does want to fight GGG. Golovkin's team are the only ones who've said they don't want the fight right now. How is that Ward's fault?

I'm rolling with Ward, arguably the only guy apart from Mayweather + Pacquiao better than Golovkin in boxing right now. Too much speed, size, class.

Time to time again, this question crops up and I am still sticking to my decision that Ward beats him on points. No matter how spectatular Golovkin looks every time, I still think Ward is the only man to beat him. However Golovkin is getting better every time he steps into the ring and Ward is only getting worse from not being in the ring.

              Because

              1. B siders tend not to make offers
              2. It's difficult to see how they come up with an offer, as Ward's purse for his most recent tuneup is 2x GGG's career high.

Once GGG is big enough to make an offer, Ward is no longer the A side.

I'd have to go with Ward. I think he has the IQ and control of distance to shut Golovkin's offence down, and GGG doesn't look that impressive on the inside.

But GGG really is a technically gifted puncher. It's not just the power, it's the weird angles he can land shots from and the balance he maintains while he does it.

He's offensively much more creative than he's given credit for too. Everyone just sees the power but he knows how to create the gaps.

Much would depend on how well his power carries up the scales. Ward is a great fighter in my book, but even a great fighter can be put on ***** street. I'd pick him, but more cautiously than I would have a year or two ago.

control of distance aka whenever someone gets close he either shoulder jumps into them or clamps onto their arms for dear life. now lets imagine for a second there was a ref who enforced the rules and didn't let him do that. how does he control distance? is he going to use his legs lol no he's slow. is he going to keep ggg hesitant with his power lol no he has none. is he going to fight shoulder to shoulder and beat ggg? no. he has to cheat. its the only way he has a chance.
