Comments Thread For: Golovkin to return on HBO in February in Monte Carlo

CARSON, Calif. -- When WBA/IBO/WBC interim-middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (31-0, 28KOs) fought in Monte Carlo this past February, HBO wasn't there to televise.

GGG stopped Osumano Adama in the eighth round, but most Americans weren't able to see it, and there was a public outcry.

    That won't happen again.

Fight in Monte Carlo aka another mismatch... Triple G is going to be turning 33 and still has a worse resume at Middleweight than Miguel Cotto...

I'm sorry but I'm starting to agree with the Triple G critics on here... HBO clearly said that Andre Ward would take the fight... fk another tune up in Monte Carlo..if you can't get Cotto, Chavez Jr, Froch etc. you better take that Andre Ward fight and stop ducking...

Sounds like they could be after Martin Murray (the real lineal middleweight champion -- he 'beat' sergio before cotto did)

Good that HBO is picking it up this time.

Unfortunately, Triple G is starting to get on that Floyd Mayweather level of ducking...

Soon as you hear an opponent being mentioned that you're ducking... get a fight signed so you can avoid him...

Soon as Ward's camp called into HBO about the fight, Triple G's camp is running to lock in another tune up fight in February unless they get their cherry pick...

GGG vs Jr is the one I wanna see, either than or him vs Ward. Let's see a couple serious tests in a row for him. It's the only way the argument of him being legit gets settle once and for all.

The laymen boxing fan or casual fan loves watching knockouts...that's why Networks overhype fighters with punching power... it's happened so many times.. it's happening right now with Thurman on Showtime...

Triple G is CLEARLY ducking Andre Ward... it's kind of funny to see the Mayweather-worshipers contradict themselves and call Triple G out on it..but it's aldo funny to see others make excuses for Triple G but have been the same to say Floyd is ducking Manny...

Let's stop making excuses.. Triple G is going to be 33 and has fought no one of notoriety.

Why everyone wants GGG to go up to fight WARD ? why can`t WARD get down to fight GGG ? GGG is the A side here sorry to tell you guys that , WARD is fighting where he feels best - 168. not going up to get murdered by several LHW who called him out.
and if you say GGG wants 154 fighters and its a missmatch and what not , he is the one that needs to go to the weight and if he can , then he can fight those guys , i bet that WARD is teasing everyone to fight GGG but only on his terms - 168 only. which is BS.
catch weight or GGG weight is the only way to go here for WARD otherwise no way GGG risks everything just to lose UD while being clinched and headbutted all night in a weight missmatch.
**** all this "hes ducking WARD" when WARD doesnt want to come down to 160 , you guys are dumb , you are only ducking if the other guy makes an EFFORT to come to YOU and you run away , not if the other guy wants you to be at a dissadvantage to fight him.
I hope GGG NEVER fight ward @ 168.
mister i wont go 160/164 , but will go 160 for Flyod.
