Anyway, sucks for Rigo because he could have been up next for Walters. Blame Caribe.
That's why I said "usually" not "always."

But I'm sure I don't have to list all the times that guys had to sign with TR before they could fight Pac.

Walters is on those U. Bolt PEDs until proven otherwise... No random blood testing for this fight?

Lomachenko vs. Walters would be an instant featherweight classic of this era. I can't wait.

He signed him a while ago. Arum wouldn't have put him in if he didn't think he could beat Nonito.

walters v gonzales next?! doubt it although it wont be because the fighters themselves wont do it. arum won't do it.

walters v lomachenko? don't know whether arum will risk that either.

Whats your point? When was the last time Mayweather fought somebody that was not with Golden Boy? My point is, Bob isn't doing anything new that anyone else hasn't done or did. But everyone wants to point out what Bob does even though its no different than any other snake promoter out there.

they said arum wouldn't risk donaire vs rigo, he did.

they said arum would never risk chavez vs martinez, he did.

if the money is right, it will happen.

Just speculating here, but I think top Rank got lucky signing him. I'm under the impression they thought he was just another club fighter with a padded record they could feed to Donaire or Loma or Gradovich. I remember 2 years ago, Walters was an interim champ high KO pct and undefeated, he wasn't even part of discussions of fantasy super 6s at 126 on NSB. Sometimes if you luck your way into signing a great fighter you gotta call an audible. I'm waiting for the Jamaican homecoming card Top rank has in store.

That's why he's a better promoter for fans than Haymon. Haymon gets these fighters to sign under the promise of money for easy work, Arum's gonna put on good fights and have the winner move up, while often forgetting about the loser. It's worse for fighters but better for fans, and IMO any sport should be driven by fans first.
