Rubio fought like the Pillsbury Doughboy last night. Kinda looked like him in a way too.

Golovkin is "watchable" but so are car wrecks. The difference is, you don't run home and write about it on the internet after you see a car wreck.
      Best post on the thread.

      • I wouldn't underestimate the potential impact of moving up a weight class when the fighter's an offensive puncher like Golovkin. He might be able to hurt a guy like Froch, but he might not. If he can't, then trading on even terms with someone like like Carl is going to be a gruelling night's work.

Doubt it. He's made plenty of overtures and also been brutally honest about wanting to fight GGG. I think, based on the commentary last night, Ward is definitely not in GGG's plans.

and Stevenson & Kovalev will kill Ward in the ring so what ? if WARD wants GGG so much he can come down to 160 to play , but no , he wants GGG to GO UP to face him , seems kinda dumb to me , GGG doesnt need him for paydays nor for reconginitino , he can take who HE wants @ 168 because he goes in there @ dissadvantage.
Cotto is 160 MW champion thats why he needs to fight @ 160 or vacate , you not understanding that is what confuses me the most.
summary : you dont duck ppl which have higher weight then you , you duck them if they come to YOUR weight class and you dont fight them.
if you are a champion in a certain weight class (like cotto is right now) you need to defend that title against other fighters in the division otherwise vacate.
please show some brain when you post jesus.

Cotto is a jr middleweight that took advantage of a broken champion.

As for Kovalev and Stevenson killing Ward in the ring. Stop yourself.

I don't know, I think Golovkin's power is one of a kind. I have no doubts he would hurt anyone he hits at 168. It's the other way around that would be a concern, could Golovkin shake off punches from a solid hitter like Froch at 168.

why is ward more concerned with fighting middleweights than light heavyweights? stevenson isn't that good so ward would beat him, but i think if kovalev looks good against hopkins he should be considered the best opponent for ward. will ward take the fight though?

So Rubio was bad for Cotto but ok for GGG when GGG is supposed the be the killer? I don't get the math.
